American Royalty, the NY-by-way-of-LA psych pop trio has released a music video for their new song Honey & Queen, which features visuals from renowned Brooklyn-based filmmaker/animator Jeff Scher. The video is part of an ongoing creative relationship between Scher and American Royalty, who has also created visual pairings for their previous singles.
With Honey & Queen, Scher’s distinctive style can be seen in all its kaleidoscopic glory. Sunbursts of water colour compliment the winding sonic journey, as cosmic visuals interplay with the rhythmic parade of organic percussion patterns, distorted vocals and psychedelic 808 beats.
Honey & Queen is the first song off of American Royalty’s forthcoming EP, Prismatic, out February 5th on Guns In The Sun Records.
